For an international startup energy trading company with a strong focus on the Czech market, specializing in short-term electricity trading, operating on the Czech OTE exchange and across European energy markets.

The Role

Seeking a (Junior) Energy Trader with hands-on experience in the Czech electricity market to join the trading desk. You will:

• Execute short-term energy trades on the OTE exchange.
• Monitor market developments, identify trading opportunities, and react quickly in fast-paced environments.
• Collaborate with data scientists and developers to leverage analytics and trading tools.
• Contribute to building a 24/7 trading operation by working in shifts.
• Take part in shaping processes in a growing startup environment.

Who We’re Looking For

Must-have qualifications:

• Practical experience (min.3-5 years) in (short-term) electricity trading in the Czech Republic.
• Strong knowledge of the OTE exchange and the Czech energy market structure.
• Understanding of how dispatch, trading desks, and market players operate.
• Ability to work in shifts (for 24/7 coverage).
• Fluent in Czech and English.

Preferred background:

• Previous roles in dispatching, market operations, or trading at energy companies, TSOs, or similar organizations.
• Analytical mindset; comfortable with numbers, data, and quick decision-making.
• Curiosity and ambition to grow within a startup.

Location: 100% Remote (within the Czech Republic)

Compensation: Determined according to the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Indicative range: CZK 75,000–85,000 gross per month, plus a performance-based variable.
