Job description
For one of the world's top car manufacturers we are looking for a Joining Engineer who will be located in Nitra, Slovakia.
Your responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all joining methods can be readily manufactured under plant conditions
- Co-ordinating suppliers on joining feasibility trials, ensuring material delivery for feasibility trials
- Analysing results of the feasibility trials and provide technical inputs to ensure data validity
- Working together with the project team and provide technical inputs into the project Request for Quotation (RFQ) at both simultaneous engineering and launch phases
- Manage vendors’ joining engineers to ensure all responsibilities are fulfilled and all technical reviews occur according to master schedules
- Working together with the project team and co-ordinate the Line Builders/vendors to deliver each phase of MEDOC9
- Being able to audit robot programs (Kuka) to understand if the setup is aligned for applications such as adhesive, FDS, RSW etc.
- Developing new technologies, and improving existing technologies

Requirements
Your profile:
- Previous working experience and/or education within a joining or material discipline
- Background in joining technologies working at a technical level with any of the following technologies: Aluminium Resistance Spot Welding (ASW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Laser Welding, Self-Piercing Riveting (SPR), Resistance Spot Welding (RSW), Friction Stir Welding, Adhesive Bonding, Flow Drive Screw (FDS) applications
- Self-motivated, but also a good team player with the ability to listen effectively to others
- Pro-active problem solver with excellent interpersonal and commication skills
Education
- Master's degree
