Sustainability also applies to your HR partner

A few years ago, sustainability was a topic addressed by only a small group of companies. Today, it has become a natural part of doing business. Business partners ask about it, inspections monitor it, and increasingly, customers care about it too. It also affects who you choose to work with in HR. A staffing agency is now part of how your company is perceived externally.
“We’ve secured a new contract with a large manufacturer, but they require us to complete a sustainability questionnaire. They’re also asking about the agencies we work with. Can we handle it?”
This situation is no longer unusual. Manufacturing companies, logistics providers, and even smaller suppliers working with larger players are facing it. Even if ESG reporting does not directly apply to you, sustainability is no longer something you can ignore.
In 2025, SYNERGIE once again underwent an EcoVadis assessment – one of the most widely used global sustainability rating standards. The result: Gold Medal, score of 81/100, and 97th percentile in the staffing services sector.
A partner you can rely on
What does this mean in practice?
- When a client sends a questionnaire or audit request, there is no need to verify us additionally. You have access to independent third-party data that you can use directly.
- You reduce risk. Controls are becoming stricter, and transparency requirements are increasing. Working with a partner whose processes have been thoroughly audited brings greater certainty.
- Finally, HR processes follow clearly defined standards. Employment contracts, fair compensation, data protection, and prevention of illegal employment are all part of the evaluation. The Gold Medal confirms that these areas meet international standards.
Branislav Jančuška, Managing Director of SYNERGIE CZ&SK, sums it up:
“Our clients gain the confidence of having a partner they don’t need to justify, but can confidently refer to, thanks to the EcoVadis Gold Medal.”
Sustainability reflected in everyday cooperation
EcoVadis evaluates four key areas. SYNERGIE achieved strong results in each:
- Labour & human rights (85/100)
For most clients, this is the most important area. Whether it’s temporary staffing, direct search, or international recruitment, the audit confirmed the use of certified management systems (ISO 45001, SA8000), transparent contracts, and anti-discrimination mechanisms. For companies employing dozens or hundreds of people through an agency, this represents essential reassurance. - Sustainable procurement (91/100)
The highest score. Responsibility does not end with us—we extend it to our suppliers. We train them, evaluate them, and naturally integrate social and environmental criteria into our cooperation. - Ethics (72/100)
This includes anti-corruption policies and data protection—areas that are increasingly important for multinational companies. - Environment (71/100)
The assessment covers emissions reporting across all three scopes, ISO 14001 certification, and participation in the CDP program.
Consistent standards across countries
If you are part of an international group, selecting an HR partner often goes through headquarters. The good news is that the EcoVadis Gold Medal applies to the entire SYNERGIE group. The same standards apply in Prague, Bratislava, and beyond.
“Receiving the EcoVadis Gold Medal is not a goal for us, but a confirmation that our processes are built on solid foundations. For our clients, this means fewer questions during audits, less administration, and greater confidence that their HR partner meets international standards,” adds Branislav Jančuška.
We value this recognition because it is based on real processes that have passed one of the most rigorous international assessments. If you are looking for an HR partner you can rely on in this area as well, we will be happy to discuss it with you.
